CYCLE-CENTRED THERAPY FOR MIND & BODY

Empowering women through informed, cycle-aligned care.

I’m MaryClaire Decker (MC), a Registered Psychologist with over a decade of experience, and I founded Mindful Cycles after recognizing a significant gap in mental health care for women. Time and again, my clients have shared how their emotional well-being shifts in sync with their cycle, yet traditional therapy often overlooks this vital connection. My own journey with chronic menstrual migraines further reinforced the need for an approach that acknowledges the profound link between our hormones, brain, and nervous system.

I began my psychology career in 2008, earning my Undergraduate degree from the University of Victoria before completing my Master’s at Simon Fraser University. Since becoming a Registered Psychologist in Calgary in 2013, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including sexual assault and public health services. My training spans multiple therapeutic modalities, and I’ve completed the Menstrual Cycle Practitioner Program by the Centre of Excellence and the Menstruality Leadership Program by Red School, alongside extensive personal research into the intersection of mental health and the menstrual cycle.

“I want my clients to use the rhythm of their cycle as the ultimate mindfulness practice, the most potent therapeutic tool of all.”
